Japanese Language Education System for Speech on an On-demand Network (LESSON/J)

1. If you take an interest to Japanese, please access a tutorial page of "An Introduction to Japanese for Nihongo Learning".
   
2. If you can not execute Java applet, please setup Java environment. But on the occasion of after setup, please wait once at the time of startup about one minute for Java preparation.
   
3. If you can not display Japanese characters, please access the pages of the Japanese Roman character version, or please download free Japanese fonts from a multi-language site.
   
4. And if you take interest to this system, please read the details of the system in Japanese.
   
5. For high quality speech, please use external speakers or head phones.
   
6. The numbers of items for dictation level are shown in a next table.
   If you click the number in the table, you can start to lesson. But in the case, a mode of language is set to English and that of display is set to default.

11. We have fixed a bug for Netscape 4.5 in which 'Next' button is not able to display on June 10, 1999. New Version 1.2a is available for 1024*768 screen size.
12. We have changed a Java class file in sentence quizz for Japanese written for mat on Mar. 23, 2000 (Ver.1.2b).
    For examples, "Korewamomodesu" is spoken format and "Korehamomodesu" is written format.
    Then the former is wrong answer but the later is correct in Ver.1.2b.

13. "e-Learning for Spoken Japanese Using Integrated Java Technology" by a new project is open on Aug. 1, 2004.

14. uPal: United Portal for Advanced Learning of Japanese langauge" is open on Sep. 1, 2006.
